ADVANCED

Survivalist Mindset Program

(4 days, 3 nights, from 9 am of day 1 to 5 pm of day 4)

About the Advanced

The Survivalist Mindset program is a very serious practical survival program in the real wilderness. In this program, you will leave your comfort zone and develop critical thinking as well as physical and mental conditions. In this program, you will be faced with a lot of pressure, lack of sleep, food and energy. During the program, participants will focus on pushing their limits, understanding their abilities, testing their wilderness survival and bushcraft skills, and learning advanced survival and bushcraft skills. This program is not for people who are scared to leave their comfort zone. You cannot be confident in an unexpected survival situation if you do not practice leaving your comfort zone. Practice makes perfect. Practicing your acquired knowledge is the only way to develop your mindset. Our beautiful planet has differing and varied environments. If you were to learn specific outdoor skills for a desert environment, you will have serious difficulty surviving in northern regions and vice versa. Instead of learning specific skills for a specified environment, it is much better to develop a survivalist mindset. This survivalist mindset is the crucial survival tool needed in any arising situation you may encounter. The Survivalist Mindset course focuses on planning ahead, learning to avoid panic, being both adaptable and self-reliant as well as using improvisation and creativity to achieve goals in the wilderness. Participants will learn how to be independent of tools. Carrying a survival kit or a tool is a good habit as long as we do not become utterly dependent on them.

During the program, participants will walk around 15-20 kilometres per day carrying their gear (approx. 30-40 lb). All participants should expect to deal with the elements: cold, heat, rain, wind, snow, etc.

The purpose of the program is to develop your survival and bushcraft skills in very difficult conditions. There is a huge difference between making a fire and a shelter when you are full of energy and doing the same tasks when you are exhausted and hungry. On one day of the program, participants will be allowed to use only 10 items. On another day, they will have only 5 of them. One night, participants who want to pass tests have to sleep in shelters that they will build from natural materials. Safety of our customers is the number one priority for us. Thus, the instructor will have a satellite communicator with an SOS button. Participants’ emergency contacts will be kept abreast of our nighttime location and our safety circumstance every day.

Please, take the preparation for this program seriously. We highly recommend physically preparing yourself. Hiking around 15-20 km 2-3 times per week or running every second day for 4 weeks before the program is a good way to prepare for the program.

The program outline is not available for participants because there are many tasks that have to be unexpected for practical purposes.

The Survivalist Mindset program has a maximum of 3 groups. Every group has an instructor and a maximum of 3 participants.

Context of the Program

The Survivalist Mindset Program is not just a course—it’s a full immersion into the raw, unpredictable conditions of wilderness life. Unlike typical survival classes, this advanced training is designed to push your limits and condition your body and mind for real-world adversity. It is an intense, high-stress program built to simulate what survival actually feels like when resources are limited, comfort is gone, and decision-making becomes critical.

This experience prepares participants not just to survive—but to lead, adapt, and endure in high-pressure environments. The goal is to develop a resilient mindset, sharpen your critical thinking, and train your body to keep functioning in fatigue, hunger, and environmental stress.

You will explore:

  • Sleep deprivation, food scarcity, and long-distance hiking with full packs
  • Limited gear use: 10 items one day, only 5 the next
  • Shelter building with natural materials only
  • Constant problem-solving and improvisation challenges
  • Exposure to cold, heat, wind, and wet conditions
  • A strong focus on adaptability, planning ahead, and risk assessment
  • Reinforcement that mindset > gear, and that confidence comes only from action

This program is built for those who want to train like it’s real, develop mental toughness, and become truly self-reliant.

If you’re looking for a test—and a transformation—this is where it happens.

Location

The Survivalist Mindset course is located in the real wilderness on Vancouver Island. We will drive around 2 hours from Victoria and travel by foot for 4 days. We are trying to organize the program in an unfamiliar area for participants. However, we will inform relatives (emergency contacts) of participants by sending them the location by a satellite communicator. Participants will only know the location of the parking spot.

My 2 kids did the Novice camp and it was so cool. Vitaliy was a great teacher, very knowledgeable and patient. They keep telling us new pieces of information they learned, stuff I had no idea about! They have also been practicing their knots and are making a plan for their own shelter. Highly recommend!

I attended the free one day course after my daughter attended paid course 4 years ago. During the training, I learned some basic knowledge of wilderness survival, and the most valuable part is I learned how I can overcome my fear of wild animals.

The novice one course is packed with survival information and covered so much on basic survival skills should you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing it! My goal was to prepare myself for overnight hikes and trail running adventures should something go awry, and it accomplished way more than that. Vitaliy has a ton of experience and highlights his class with personal anecdotes, which emphasizes his messages of being prepared and thinking critically. My one suggestion is to follow the advice on layering to keep warm! There is not a lot of movement on the first day, and although I had 4 layers on and it was plus 10 in April, I still got quite chilled...I shifted from "spring" layers to "winter" layers for the second day and felt much warmer :-) Highly recommend if you spend any time in the forest!

I spent a weekend learning from Vitaliy. He shared so much great information wether it was from the class curriculum or sharing from his personal experiences out in the wilderness. We had a lot of hands on learning which was challenging and so much fun. Vitaliy encouraged critical thinking and thinking ahead to be better prepared for possible unpleasant scenarios. I'm looking forward to my next level course. If you're new to wanting experiences in the wilderness or you've had lots of experiences and want to hone your survival skills, I highly recommend ONE WITH NATURE.

My partner and I just completed the Novice 1 Bushcraft class. We had an awesome time and learned so much. Our instructor Vitaliy is incredibly knowledgable in survival and bushcraft skills, and we came away with so many useful tips. We cannot wait to get outside and continue practice shelter building! My partner and I spend a lot of time outdoors, and we still had lots to learn from this program. Vitaliy helps build a perspective beyond what outdoor education typically focuses on. We learned a lot of the "why"s behind topics like animal behaviour and other outdoor knowledge. I left feeling empowered and excited to learn more.

Vitaliy is amazing! There were clear aims for the day, his communication in advance of, and during the day was impeccable. I never felt rushed or judged, just encouraged and guided to improve my outdoor skills. I wholeheartedly recommend courses with this company.

It is an amazing course about survival and how to using knife and how to build shelter in the forest! Vitaliy is a nice and funny coach! He always made much fun about bears because I am afraid of bears a lot. I am looking forward to join the next level class to learn how to make fire. And recommend everyone who want to learn some knowledge about survival to take these classes in victoria. What a magic trip!

The teacher has a deep knowledge of wilderness survival, a great attitude and was able to communicate/ meaningfully connect with each of us on an individual level. If you attend any of the offered classes, you will undoubtedly come out with skills you didn't have going in. They are each well planned out and properly tailored to all levels of experience.

Vitaly is the best. We went in july for twice 3 days with our kids. Vitaly was super professional and safety was first. Kids enjoyed it and keep on talking about it every day. We learned amazing skills we will be using all our life. We saw so many wild lives. Nature was so generous with us. Vitaly was super patient with our kids.

I had the pleasure of taking the private lesson, Novice 1 with Vitaliy in the summer of August 2024. To say he is very knowledgeable is an understatement. I advise, that you ask as many questions as possible, to absorb some of the knowledge that he has. There is no such thing as a stupid question, when you ask, you get to realize your inexperience and grow and build on that and tweak your next question(s). The decision to take the course was about being prepared and not becoming a victim of circumstances or another statistic unnecessarily. When you drive your vehicle you wear a seat belt don't you? You have the knowledge and experience to operate the vehicle don't you? So why not do the same about survival and bush craft? There are numerous situations that can leave you alone and stranded out in the wilderness overnight and you need to have some knowledge to feel confident, so that you can think calmly and clearly and plan your next steps. Taking the course provides muscle memory and that helps to boost your confidence and keep you calm in a sticky situation. Lots of people watch cooking shows, but ask them to make that meal on the spot and they will have no idea how to execute it unless they replay the video dozens of times and do the process step by step. I would highly recommend the course whether group or private for EVERYONE. Knowledge is power. And for the Christian folks you know what I am talking about... Rev 13 vs 17 God bless. Keep up the great work Vitaliy and One With Nature.
