INTRODUCTORY FAMILY PROGRAM

Wilderness Survival and Bushcraft Skills for Families (1 day, 6 hours)

This hands-on, family-focused program introduces participants to core wilderness survival and bushcraft skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Designed for families with children as young as 5 years old, this one-day session builds outdoor awareness, practical knowledge, and confidence in real outdoor conditions.

Your family will work together to explore survival priorities—shelter, fire, water, and safety—and practice safe techniques with basic tools such as knives and saws. Through a combination of demonstration and guided hands-on learning, each member of your family will learn how to assess risks, build shelters, light fires, and make sound decisions in nature.

This program is strongly recommended (and required) before participating in any overnight family training. It lays the essential foundation for outdoor safety and self-reliance, while also being a fun, confidence-building experience for kids and adults alike.
Whether you’re planning future wilderness adventures or simply want to equip your family with essential outdoor skills, this course is the ideal starting point.

INTERMEDIATE FAMILY

Life in the Wilderness for Families (2 days, 1 night, 6 hours/day)

The Life in the Wilderness private program is a powerful hands-on experience designed to help your family develop the critical thinking, resilience, and practical skills needed to feel confident and prepared in the outdoors. Through immersive activities and real-life scenarios, your family will learn how to respond calmly and effectively in wilderness situations.

Over the course of two days and one night, you will explore essential survival priorities—shelter, fire, water, food, and navigation—while also learning proper and safe use of tools like knives, axes, and saws. With an overnight component, your family will practice building a shelter, cooking on an open fire, and spending the night in a natural setting, helping to build comfort and trust in the wild.

In addition to physical skills, the program focuses on mindset development, helping families understand what it means to think like a survivalist—planning ahead, adapting to changing conditions, and working together to overcome challenges.

This program is ideal for families looking to deepen their connection with nature and with each other, while building real self-reliance and awareness in the wilderness.
